Batman meets robin - Batman Forever Reviews

I think this was the best in the series. Val Kilmer gives a just as good performance as the dark knight. Tommy Lee Jones is perfect for Two-Face and Jim Carrey is The perfect Riddler. Also Chris O'Donnell plays Dick Grayson a young acrobat who moves in with Bruce Wayne and then becomes Robin and teams with Batman to seek revenge on Two-Face for the murder of his father, mother and brother. This is definatly the best in the series because of Robin.

60's style batman went out in the 60's - Batman Forever Reviews

The campy style of the 60's batman tv show is very prevalent in this film. It just does not work today. 60's camp is fun, but only in something that was ment for the 60's. People went to see this film for the simply fact that they expected the same style as the first two films. The reason why this film did so well, was simply due to the fact that it is the predessor to two great films. This film turned off most of the fans to the seires, thats why the next film did so poorly. When Joel Shumocker took over the directors chair from Tim Burton, he simply ruined the seires.

One of too many - Batman Forever Reviews

Its hard to keep the batman movies straight with so many of them. The fact that there anre many different actors playing batman doesnt help. On the other hand, the acting was well done and the plot was quite thought out.

Batman forever? yeah right - Batman Forever Reviews

What do you get when you take Jim Carry, Val Kilmer, Tommy Lee Jones, Chris O Donnel, and Nicole Kidman? The answer alot of big named actors. If you cant get the Keaton back and Burton directing the movie what do you do? You start out on a clean sweep you get and up and coming actors that you keep for the next couple of sequels. It was pointless having Val KIlmer playing Batman( no offense Val but you played your best role in Real Genuis) because if you made a fourth he didn't want to sign on. Also Robin is not a 20 something year old kid when his parents die it more like 12 or younger. See what made Tim Burton first two Batman's a hit was that Keaton was still up and coming and also Pheifer (with the exception of DeVito and Nicholson). ANd also it was lighter then the first two. Thats why i really dont like this one and the next one.

Went on forever - Batman Forever Reviews

Batman Forever was dreadful. The first two batman films were good, but this is so bad I won't see the fourth installment "Batman and Robin." The worst part of this was the acting! They replaced Michael Keaton for Val Kilmer. This movie was made to be a weapon, but somehow it became a movie.

Bob kane must be turning over in his grave. - Batman Forever Reviews

This is the sort of movie that deserves to be dragged out and shot to be put out of its misery. God, it's just dang awful. First of all, Val Kilmer was never meant to be Batman, and even if he by some mistake up in Heaven was, why didn't he dye his hair black? Bruce Wayne ain't a sissy blonde haired guy that does not know how to act!! Also, Jim Carrey is all right, but after awhile all that tight nylon in his suit starts getting to his brain and he starts going a little crazy. Oh, and the special effects are gag awful. So, why even bother seeing this movie? Well, besides the rest of it, Chris O'Donnell does make a decent Robin and 'Kissed by a Rose' does sort of get stuck in your head after awhile. Overall, I hate this movie and think it should just be forgotten, except to show new Hollywood recruits what a bad movie looks like. It's like some big time movie guy took the dark drama that Batman was, took all of its dignity and humanity and made it into some big time blockbuster with big explosions and colorful costumes, like it was some stupid parade.

A new batman for a new director... - Batman Forever Reviews

Micheal Keaton is too old. OK, I'll buy that for a dollar. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that the director was attempting to introduce an aspect of sex appeal to the film. Glow in the dark vehicles... of course. Batman travels at night.. by stealth, and should use a car that can be seen a mile away. Robin. Uh-huh. Well, at least Alfred didn't change too much. Carrey looked as if he had a great time filming and overshadowed a Tommy Lee Jones who just didn't seem all too comfortable at times. Val Kilmer didn't play all too bad a Batman, but didn't last long enough to do better. Shumacher was, at the time, a rather good director, but did little to advance the franchise except for bringing his own personal vision to light... and not at all what anyone else who paid to see the movie had wanted. The writing was on the wall. Bring popcorn, and plan a bathroom break.

Sweet movie! - Batman Forever Reviews

My favorite Batman. This movie is jampacked with kickass actors. This movie for back in the 90's was way ahead of its time. I still watch today and love it. All the Batman's are good but this one is my favorite.

Forever - Batman Forever Reviews

this movie has alot of holes but the good thing in it is the technique in the costume disigning and the visual effects but the story is too childish and lack the superheros movies action.

A blonde bruce wayne????? - Batman Forever Reviews

Val Kilmer is the new Batman, and that really surprised me, because he is blonde. The two new villains are Two Face (played by Tommy Lee Jones) and the Riddler (by the funny Jim Carrey). It also features Nicole Kidman (a then young woman). The movie is fair, not good. It's the second worst installment, and the funny scenes with Jim Carrey addes humour to the movie, but just a little too much. It's a superhero movie, not a dumb comedy.

Great - Batman Forever Reviews

Batman Forever is a timeless movie, it has a lot of action, a good story and a quirky twist that remimded us of that classic t.v. series. Although Joel Schumacher is a hack if I ever saw one, he managed to direct a movie that will always have a special spot in my heart. Batman Forever is one of the best Batman movies. Altough Batman wasn't portrayed according to the comic books which I love, the movie entertained audiences everywhere.

Batman franchise starting its plunge - Batman Forever Reviews

The worst was to come for the Batman movies in Batman & Robin, but Batman Forever was a huge step behind the first two movies by Tim Buron. The story was not pretty much inspired and the acting performances, except for Jim Carey who was stunning in his role of the Sphynx, were seriously poor. Val Kilmer simply did not fit as Batman / Bruce Wayne, nobody wanted a Robin appearance, and Nicole Kidman's character was ridiculous. The visuals were good here and there, but those fluorescent colors were too much for me. Joel Schumacher simply missed the mark, and he was to miss it even more in the next Batman, bringing the franchise to almost death. Oh, and Michael Keaton was the best in Batman's role, no doubt there.

Wow!!!this film delivers! - Batman Forever Reviews

the first and second batman are nothing compared to this great action-thriller. this film definatly delivers-it has a TOP-OF-THE-LINE cast- amazing dirction-awesome visuals- a great screenplay, and very well done acting. although this film might start with the dumbest most cheesiest and most lamest first 2 lines possibly im movie history. unlike the the first 2 films this movie was kind of funny also. the BATMAN costume looked like a StripSuit- like as if he were going to a heroes strip club- it had 2 very erregant nipples a HUGE crtch- very tight buttocks and tights-. and so did Robin's outfit- his crotch was bigger than batmans. overall this film was very exiting to see. its one of the best action films i have seen this year.A+

Not the best batman flim but good - Batman Forever Reviews

This is the worst of all the Batman flims but it is still good. With Val Kilmer, Tommy Lee Jones, and Jim Carrey these 3 make a good team. Then there is there leading lady Nicole Kidman. So this is a good flim but not the best Batman flim there is. Git R Done

Ahhh mannnn! - Batman Forever Reviews

Sometimes it just doesn't pay to make a second installment of the caped crusader.Cheesy plot, cheap makeup effects and subpar performances from two acting geniuses Tommy Lee Jones, and Jim Carrey. Parents too much TV for your kids isn't good but don't risk your kids IQ by subjecting them to this crap.

One of the best batman movies ever! - Batman Forever Reviews

Of course it's nothing like Batman Begins, but for the time it was made, it's pretty darn good. Good special effects, and Nicole Kidman was cool, too. Great movie!

Batman forever 1995 - Batman Forever Reviews

I was 4 years old when I saw this and just like my dad I became a Batman fan by watching a Batman movie ( my dad watched The batman movie of the 60s) This the second best batman movie of all time Jim Carrey is so funny as Riddler yo and Tommmy Lee jones did great as Two-Face though confusing when Two-face who was Harvey Dent in the past was black in the first batman but now white in this movie musn't fell in a puddle of white out. Nicole Kidman yo she was dazzling.Val Kilmer is the Batman he did a good job. The scene where Batman gives a riddle to Riddler and the answer is Blind as a Bat that was one of the greatest quotes ever in the Batman or jusy man history. The Batmobile was cool. And robin didn't do much in the movie but I'm not a big robin fan so ............... I guess he did make the batboat look good and the second appearance of the batwing was really cool. This is a movie to die for forever.

Hail jim carrey!!! - Batman Forever Reviews

this would have to be (as i agree with everyone else) the best batman yet. It was way better than gaybo batman and junk with jack nicolson and danny devito (no offence). I haven't actually seen batman and robin, but i loved this movie because it was filled with laughter (HAIL JIM CARREY), action and love. Joel Shumucer (sorry, i dunno how to spell his last name) did a very good job with this movie, just like he did with Phantom of the Opera. I don't know why everybody's critising his directive skills, he's done such a good job. Andrew Lloyd Webber was right in picking him. Anyway, back to Batman, yes, it was much better than the rest (although i can't say that it's better than spiderman :P).

Forever . . . - Batman Forever Reviews

The best Batman yet!! Val Kilmer did a good job as Bruce Wayne and Batman. One thing I didn't like was Jim Carrey's character, The Riddler. But, it's worth watching.

The batman lives forvever! - Batman Forever Reviews

The Batman is back, this time played by Val Kilmer, and his associate Robin ( Chris O'Donell) in this high octaned superhero movie. The script and dialogue are amazing, and the acting can only get better. Jim Carret's role as the Riddler only seemed funny, while Tommy Lee Jones put up a show as the Two- Face. In the movie Batman has to find out who is really is, and will the Batman live forever. He falls in love with Chase Meridian ( Nicole Kidman) who eventually at the end finds out Bruce Waynes alter ego identity. Overall this is a great movie, and since I love Batman so much, its even better!

#1 batman movie of all time! - Batman Forever Reviews

THIS MOVIE IS A TOTAL BLAST! IT LIFTS ME RIGHT OFF OF MY SEAT EVERY SPLIT SECOND OF THE MOVIE STARRING SUPERSTAR ACTOR TOMMY LEE JONES PLAYING 2-FACE ITS A MOVIE NOT TO MISS.

Batman forever - Batman Forever Reviews

A totally new Batman and a totally new director, Joel Schumacher. Dropping Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer has now entered Batman boots. The main difference of this Batman to Tim Burton's is he is not as dark as before. This time the caped crusader is up against the perfect villain duo of Tommy Lee Jones as the dangerous Harvey Two-Face, and with him is the hilarious but also nasty likes of Jim Carrey as the Riddler. There is also the appearence of Nicole Kidman, and later Chris O'Donnell becomes Batman's remembered sidekick the boy wonder Robin. Jim Carrey is more funny than the Joker was, but this film is still not as good as the first one. A good erray of action and adventure is in store.

Very good for batman - Batman Forever Reviews

This is the one good Batman film. Mainly Because of Jim Carrey and Nicole Kidman. Jim Carreys hillarius, and Nicole Kidman is much better then Kim Basinger as Batmans love interest.

Good film...... - Batman Forever Reviews

batman forever, what better way to bring in robin than have two-face off dick greyson's parents (a little different than what happened in comics i know)and i think tommy lee jones did great as two-face as well as jim carry as edward nigma aka riddler...

Batman film for the eyes' delight - Batman Forever Reviews

This movie was awesome! Jim Carry did a great job as the Riddler and Tommy Lee Jones was outstanding. The special effects were mind blowing and Nicole Kidmon was hot! I still put this as my 19th favorite movie because Val Kilmer was okay. To all those Jim Carry lovers out there, this is one of his bests.
